We’re transforming communities through education for all
We believe that the key to fighting poverty is through education
Education for all is our vision. Through the provision of essential educational supplies and funding we are ensuring that Makonde Primary School in Gutu, Masvingo, Zimbabwe is a force for good in the community!
Will you join with us to make a difference?
Stationery
We look to provide the pupils at Makonde Primary School with good quality stationery to allow them to complete their studies. Without stationery, many of the students would not be able to adequately take part in the studies.
IT Equipment
Information technology is always advancing, in order to raise young men and women to take on the world we believe that they need to have a good grasp of computer technology. We have been able to send 2 laptops and a desktop tower to Makonde so far.
School Fee Subsidies
To fund a child's education we raise money to pay the school fees of the neediest children in the community. This allows the school to fund it's day to day operations and allows the child to attend school and receive an education.
Please give details of the donation you wish to give below and we will contact you back to arrange this.
How we began…
On the 28th of June, 2016, Ignatius Makonese, a husband, father, visionary, educator and master farmer lost his life. His daughter Patience, travelled to Zimbabwe for a visit to spend time with her poorly mother. Whilst in Zimbabwe, Patience saw people from the community seeking financial assistance so they could send at least one of their children to school while the others stayed at home. Some would offer to work the fields or perform small tasks around the house to earn money to send their children to school.
Moved by this, Patience founded the Ignatius Foundation. Now, through material, donations and fundraising through upcycling furniture, the Ignatius Foundation supports Makonde Primary School and the Community in Gutu, Zimbabwe.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
